ABOUT ABOUT

Join A Little Bit Off ( Amica Hunter and David Cantor), for a playful hands on exploration in clowning!

It is the goal of every performer to connect with, and emotionally move the audience. By eliminating the 4th wall, becoming vulnerable, and sharing honest emotions with the audience, the clown takes a direct approach to this task. While approaching performance through the lens of physical comedy, this workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to work on the skills required to emotionally connect with and move an audience. This workshop will discuss what defines clown and differentiates it from other forms of comedy. Through a series of games and exercises, improvisations, and analysis, we'll work on discovering the essence of clown work, and find ways to apply those foundational skills for theatrical presentation. This workshop will give you a new toolkit and framework for creating honest, vulnerable, and genuine play onstage and off. The content of the workshop includes exercises to develop foundational skill sets, as well as individual coaching to help every participant achieve the next level of mastery, whether that be from complete novice to the first steps of their journey or from advanced to master craftsman.
